The huge influx of Doodles into our work has changed grooming because they combine a "Fur" type coat that needs to shed with a "Hair" type coat that won't let it shed . . . who thought that was a great idea?! Combination Coats are matting machines. Even purebred dogs like the Old English Sheepdog, the Bouvier des Flandres, the Pumi, the Bearded Collie, and many other breeds, have coat types defy traditional definition. Combination Coats in dogs come in many forms but all of them need extra attention, and we should be charging accordingly.
