As a member of the Ohio Professional Pet Groomers Association, Inc.,

I pledge the following for the entirety of my career:

(1) I pledge to treat all animals entrusted in my care humanely and place their health and safety as my top priority. I will show humanity over vanity towards any matted dog and always do what is best for their wellbeing. If an injury were to occur, I will notify the owner immediately.

(2) I pledge to conduct my business with honesty, integrity, and the upmost professionalism. I will keep peace within my workplace and encourage my peers to develop their skills.

(3) I pledge to not misrepresent myself or the OPPGA by attacking competitors or fellow groomers with unprofessional behavior.

(4) I pledge to keep the highest standard in the pet grooming industry and to keep current on any safety or health regulations. I will continue to grow through the support of my fellow groomers and continued education.

(5) I pledge to provide education to my customers and the public on proper grooming care for their pets. It is part of my job to share my knowledge to keep any animal as comfortable as possible.

(6) I pledge be honest, fair, and responsible in all business transactions through my employer, employee, or own company. I will always abide by all laws affecting my business and profession.

(7) I pledge to keep only legal W-2 employees in any of my businesses. I will always abide by all tax laws affecting my business and profession.

(8) I pledge to use my certification and all OPPGA logos only as approved while maintaining an active membership within OPPGA.
